Be a part of the 1000 Faces of Color Project. Join us on Saturday, October 1st from 9:30 to 11 am for the Apex & Big Sky Fall Open House in Forest Park where we will be painting faces for the 1000 Faces of Color Project! From 11 to 12 noon all participants are welcome to join the Healing Circle where the topic will be "The Power of Color". This is just one of many opportunities to participate as a Face Painting Artist or as a Participant and have your face painted!
Michelle Young, Founder of Foundation Apex and Apex Learning Center, Inc. and Gina LaMontagne, Apex Administrator, are coordinators of the 1000 Faces of Color Project.
Amy Dobberfuhl of From the Horse's Mouth Studios designed the 1000 Faces of Color Logo. For more information please contact myoung@apexlc.comor at 708-366-8363 x1.
The Project Mission: To paint 1000 faces (children, teens, adults and seniors), digitally photograph the painted faces and have each artist and each participant give a one sentence comment on their experience.
The Project Purpose: Increase awareness to the Power of Color and encourage people to see themselves in a new and powerful way. This Project is designed to challenge each of us to see ourselves outside of our normal vantage point.
What do you get? Each participant will receive a free copy (digital image) of their painted face and all participants will be invited to the Foundation's Fund Raising Event in September 2006, where all 1000 faces will displayed and available for sale through Silent Auction (with each Participant's release)!
A Good Cause! All proceeds from the 1000 Faces of Color Project will be donated to Foundation Apex, a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Foundation's Goal is use all proceeds from the 1000 Faces of Color Project to purchase a building or house in the Oak Park/Forest Park area in which a Healing Arts Center can be located in early 2007. Currently, Apex Learning Center is located at 7518 W. Madison, Suite 2C, Forest Park, IL 60130
Additional Information: Foundation Apex was founded in early 2005 and is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with Apex Learning Center. The Foundation's Mission Statement: "To Connect children, teens, adults and seniors in transition to Arts, Healing and Creativity based Programs and Services - enabling them to live a powerful and purpose-filled life.
